Matt Rivera has a rich and diverse work experience in engineering and product development. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Product Engineer at Geiger, where they provided engineering design support for executive wood office furniture. Matt also managed order fulfillment and served as an expert CAD mentor.

In 2007, Matt joined Graco Children's Products as a Product Engineer, later becoming a Senior Product Designer and then a Principal Engineer. Matt was involved in ASTM committee for compliance revisions and collaborated with R&D leaders to establish best practices for concept and product development. Matt managed projects from conception to production, ensuring they were delivered on time and within budget.

In 2014, Matt joined Newell Brands as a Principal Engineer in Advanced Technologies. Matt was responsible for sourcing and vetting new technologies and providing technical expertise to consult brand segments. Matt also developed processes for identifying and implementing new technology into Newell's product portfolio.

From 2015 to 2018, Matt worked at Baby Jogger (a Newell Rubbermaid Company) as Manager of R&D. Matt led a team and successfully transitioned a $100 million brand while implementing design changes to meet regulatory standards. Matt also managed multiple component vendors located in China and Vietnam.

In 2018, Matt started their own consultancy, STOIK Product Development, offering design and development services to start-ups and mid-size companies. Matt assisted clients in understanding engineering principles, manufacturing techniques, and documentation management. Matt also provided gap fill resources, project risk analysis, and vendor scouting services.

Matt's most recent role was as the Director of Engineering at UPPAbaby, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held positions at Veer Gear, LLC as an Engineering Fellow, and at Struxure Outdoor as the Director of R&D, focusing on the design and development of outdoor products.

Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated leadership abilities, project management skills, and expertise in product design, development, and engineering. Matt has been involved in various industries, including manufacturing, baby products, outdoor gear, and medical devices.

Matt Rivera attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Prior to that, they graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1994. Matt also has additional certifications, including a New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification obtained from PDMA in October 2013, a Child Passenger Safety Technician certification obtained from Safe Kids Worldwide in May 2011, and a CMfgT - Certified Manufacturing Technologist certification obtained from SME in June 1999.
