Nouran Aly

Nouran has taught for the past six years after receiving her MA in adolescent Biology Education from Hunter College. She has spent the majority of her teaching years as a science instructor in Harlem and the Bronx. Over the past two years, Nouran made the transition to learn and teach computer science and was part of the founding computer science teacher team at Comp Sci High in the Bronx. She is deeply passionate about working to address the diversity gap in CS education and empowering young people to use CS as a tool to solve problems and take on leadership roles to make a difference in something that matters to them. She served as an Upperline teaching Fellow in the summer of 2020 and is excited to continue to expand on her passion at Upperline Code.
