Benjamin Smoot

Ben Smoot has been with UPSTACK since its inception. As COO, he oversees product strategy and execution and has a direct role in helping UPSTACK reshape how IT infrastructure is sourced, implemented, and managed. His work in the product is focused on merging software and process best practices to tackle problems unique to IT infrastructure procurement—specifically to enhance the buying and selling experience through transparency, standardization, automation, and accuracy.

Previously, Ben was a Registered Architect in New York state. He worked as the principal designer and architect on some of the most highly visible and complex public projects in New York City—most recently completing the third phase of the High Line park. Smoot has held key roles at Diller Scofidio + Renfro, SHoP Architects, and William Rawn Associates, Architects.

Ben graduated from the University of Virginia and holds a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University.
