Arman Guerra is a Senior Data Scientist at Upstart since February 2023, previously serving as a Data Scientist. Prior to this role, Arman completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University, where studies focused on the contact interactions of elastic bodies utilizing mathematical and computational approaches. Arman also contributed as a first author on the publication "Self-Ordering of Buckling, Bending, and Bumping Beams" in PRL in 2023. Previous experience includes a role as a Student Researcher at Washington University in St. Louis, where Arman designed and tested initial versions of the Murch Lab coplanar qubit and explored topological transitions in artificial spin-1/2 systems, and as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Cornell University, where simulations for the CBETA linear particle accelerator were developed. Arman holds a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis.
