Ben Atkinson

Ben Atkinson is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the auto lending sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Auto Finance at Upstart since July 2025, Atkinson leads the go-to-market strategy and execution for the Auto line of business. Previously, Atkinson held various leadership roles at AutoFi from April 2023 to July 2025, including Head of Strategic Partnerships and Head of Lending Strategy, where significant accomplishments included developing a digital auto lending marketplace and scaling a multi-lender network. Prior experience also includes pivotal roles at BBVA in the USA as Head of US Auto Lending and Director of US Auto Strategy, where Atkinson managed a substantial portfolio and executed strategic initiatives, along with a tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as Regional Manager. Atkinson's early career involved leadership development at Ford Credit. Academic qualifications include participation in the BBVA Executive Management Program at The University of Texas at Austin, alongside honors from East Carolina University and education at Tapton School in England.
