Christopher Schafer

Christopher Schafer is a seasoned professional in the field of security engineering, currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Upstart since June 2019. Responsibilities include overseeing the Detection Engineering (SecOps), Incident Management, Infrastructure/Cloud Security, and Corporate Security organizations, as well as maintaining in-house applications and supporting the Vulnerability Management program. Prior to this, Christopher held various positions at Bank of America, including VP of Specialist Sys/Data Security on the Malware Prevention team, where automation and reporting were primary focuses, and VP of Specialist Information Security Engineer, contributing to the architecture and implementation of a next-gen SIEM for the Realtime Security Event Correlation team. Earlier in career, Christopher gained experience as an Electronics Engineer at Presentation Switchers.
