John Lewis

John Lewis is an accomplished statistician and machine learning manager with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Machine Learning, Model Governance Lead, and Research/Data Scientist at Upstart since August 2019, John has previously held roles as Principal Statistician and Senior Statistician at Sandia National Laboratories from August 2014 to July 2019. Academic contributions include serving as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The Ohio State University, and as a Mathematics Teacher at Jefferson County Public Schools. John Lewis holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics and a Master of Science in Statistics from The Ohio State University, along with two Master's degrees in Mathematics and a Bachelor's of Science in Education from Miami University.
