Patrick LaVictoire

Patrick LaVictoire began their career in pure mathematics academia, earning a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and later serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Transitioning into machine learning, Patrick has held various roles, including a Machine Learning Manager at Upstart, where they lead a team focused on generating loan terms for partner sites. Previously, Patrick contributed as a Research Scientist at Lyft, a Principal Engineer at Quixey, and a Software Engineering Manager at Apple, enhancing machine learning models and ensuring data reliability for products like Siri. Additionally, they conducted research on AI safety at the Machine Intelligence Research Institute.
