Enes Akar

Enes Akar has worked in the tech industry for over 15 years. Enes began their career in 2006 as a Java Developer for Alcatel-Lucent, where they developed a web-based reporting tool for the MPLS network system of AVEA. In 2009, they moved to iLab Holding (Chemorbis.com) as a Senior Java Developer. In 2011, they joined Ericsson as an Experienced Software Engineer and also Hazelcast as a Developer and Co-founder, eventually becoming CTO of Hazelcast Cloud and VP of Engineering. In 2020, they joined Confluent as an Engineering Leader, and in 2021 they became the CEO of Upstash.

Enes Akar received a BS in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University between 2001 and 2005. Enes then pursued an MBA from Boğaziçi University between 2005 and 2007.
