Holly Copeland

Holly Copeland has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Holly currently holds the position of Design Director at Upstatement since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as Creative Director from May 2018 to December 2021 and as a Designer from September 2014 to April 2018 at the same company.

Before joining Upstatement, Holly worked at CTP as a Digital Producer from April 2013 to August 2014, where they were responsible for building effective web presences for clients. Holly also held the position of Junior Interactive Producer from April 2012 to March 2013 at the same company.

In 2013, Holly co-founded Hum Journal, an independent art magazine based in Boston, where they served as a designer and co-curator until February 2014.

Prior to that, they worked as an Account Manager at OKAY!! OKAY!! from August 2011 to March 2012.

Holly also has experience in outdoor education and leadership roles. Holly worked as a Counselor for the Summer Mountain Adventure Camp at The Petra Cliffs Group from June 2009 to August 2011. Additionally, they held various roles in the University of Vermont Outing Club from September 2007 to May 2011, including Leader, Program Coordinator, and TREK leader.

Holly began their professional career as a Davis Center Operations & Event Services Assistant at the University of Vermont from August 2008 to May 2011, where they managed events and created layouts, drafted and edited documents, and worked with clients.

Holly also participated in Alternative Spring Break trips at the University of Vermont, where they served as a Participant in 2009 and as a Leader for a service trip to Detroit in 2011. In these roles, they communicated with volunteer sites, organized projects and accommodations, and facilitated group meetings for teamwork and reflection.

Holly Copeland pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their high school education at Pinkerton Academy from 2003 to 2007 where they obtained their High School Diploma. Holly then went on to attend the University of Vermont from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Film, and Studio Art. In 2010, Holly also had a study abroad experience at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, where they focused on Communications & Mass Media. Additionally, they had a pre-college experience at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2006, specializing in Textile Design.
