Jared Novack

Jared Novack is a Co-Founder, COO, and CFO of Upstatement, a digital agency specializing in brand, website, and app design services. Jared successfully grew the team from 3 to 50 members while leading legal and financial operations.

Jared also served as the Creator and Lead Maintainer of Timber, a template system that facilitates collaboration between designers and engineers in building large-scale, customized websites using WordPress. Timber gained widespread use and secured major users such as The Obama Foundation, United Nations, Democratic Party, Spotify, and PBS.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jared designed, built, tested, and deployed a COVID safety SaaS application optimized for office buildings and corporate campuses as a Co-Founder of Allpass. Jared also spearheaded the business and customer acquisition strategy.

Prior to these roles, Jared worked as a Newsroom Developer at Boston Globe Media, where they introduced innovative digital elements to stories and optimized the pipeline for visual journalists. Jared also worked as an Interactive News Developer at the Houston Chronicle and served as Editor In Chief of The Daily Orange.

Jared Novack graduated from Syracuse University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Art. In 2016, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance.
