Vanessa Scopino began their work experience in 2008 as an Assistant Account Executive at Almighty. Vanessa then worked their way up to become an Account Executive and later an Account Supervisor. In 2012, they became the Associate Director of Brand Strategy before leaving the company in 2014. In the same year, they joined MIT Technology Review as a Product Manager for Events & Special Projects. In 2018, they were promoted to Director of Product and held this position until 2019. Since 2019, Vanessa has been with Upstatement, initially as the Head of Client Strategy and currently as the Business Development Director.
Vanessa Scopino has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California. Vanessa studied English (Creative Writing), Advertising, and Communication Design during their time there. In addition to their degree, Vanessa also obtained a Specialized Studies Program in Innovation and Product Development certification from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education in June 2019. Vanessa is also a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), having received certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2019.
