Anup Kallingal has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Anup started their career in 1999 as a Logistics-Production Planning Assistant at Asian Paints. Anup then transitioned into the field of software development, working as a Junior Software Engineer at Cornell Enterprises from 2001 to 2002.
Anup further expanded their skills as a Software Developer at Exceed Consultancy Services from 2002 to 2004. Anup gained expertise in Actuate's e.Report Designer Professional, a powerful development environment for creating enterprise reports.
In 2004, Anup joined Savvion, where they held various roles over the years. Anup worked as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Java Swing, XSLT transformation, and JSP technologies. Anup also managed a team as a Lead in the redesign and development of the simulation core engine for Savvion BPM Studio and Modeler using DESMO-J. Anup later became the Manager of Product Development, leading a team in the development of the simulation module for Savvion BPM Studio and Modeler, among other responsibilities.
Moving forward, Anup worked as an Engineering Manager at Progress Software, where they managed a team of engineers and collaborated with global counterparts to improve the Savvion studio and its integration with other tooling products.
In 2012, Anup joined Accolite as an Engineering Manager and continued in the same role when they joined Aurea Software later that year. At Aurea Software, they contributed technically to different product and project teams and acquired exposure to various aspects of software development.
Anup then joined Snipp Interactive in 2017 as Director of Service Delivery. Anup was responsible for overseeing service delivery operations. In 2018, they moved to peel-works as the Director of Engineering, leading the engineering team.
Currently, Anup is working at Upstox, where they began in 2020 as a Senior Engineering Manager. Anup has since been promoted to the position of Director of Engineering.
Anup Kallingal completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology from NCST in 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Masters Diploma in Software Engineering from Aptech Computer Education from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, Anup received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounts, Economics, and Management from the University of Mumbai from 1996 to 1999. Anup also obtained certifications in MongoDB for DBAs and MongoDB for Java Developers from MongoDB, Inc. in 2015, as well as a certification in Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 1 from Coursera Verified Certificates in the same year.
