Customer Success Manager

Melanie Feen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data science and marine research. As the current Customer Success Manager at Upstream Tech since April 2024, Melanie previously served as a Data Scientist at Axiom Data Science and held multiple roles at Sofar Ocean, including Ocean Science Data Analyst and Ocean Operations Specialist. Melanie's academic background includes a Master's in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island, where research focused on chlorophyll fluorescence and resulted in a thesis on physiological trends. Prior experience includes roles at the Michigan Tech Research Institute, NASA DEVELOP National Program, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and Skidmore College, where valuable research skills in remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and oceanographic data collection were developed. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geosciences with a Chemistry minor from Skidmore College.
