Zhi Lu

Zhi Lu is an experienced data scientist currently working at Uptake since September 2018, following a brief stint as a data science intern at Gladson. Prior to these roles, Zhi co-founded CoGen Coworking, a collaborative space in Chicago, which emphasized shared resources and innovation. Zhi's academic background includes a PhD in Computational Materials Science from Northwestern University, where the focus was on the computational design of advanced cathodes for lithium-ion batteries. The research involved developing a statistical learning model to predict structural changes in materials, contributing to advancements in cycling performance and longevity of battery technology. Zhi holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
