Steven Canup

Steven Canup is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various financial institutions. Currently serving as President at UPTIQ since January 2024, Canup previously held the position of Managing Director at Focus Financial Partners from January 2019 to January 2024. Prior to that, Canup was the Executive Vice President and Chief Institutional Banking Officer at Bank of Hope and served in key roles at Banc of California, NewBridge Capital & Trust, Inc., and B. Riley & Co. Canup also contributed to FIG Partners and Concordia Financial Services LLC, along with senior positions at Aames Investment Corp and East West Bank. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA, earned between 1985 and 1989.
