Senior Digital Operations Manager at UPtv

Jason Schoellen began their work experience in 1999 as a Videographer/Master Control Operator at KGAN News Channel 2. Jason captured news and sports stories, operated a live ENG truck, and attended news production meetings. In 2000, they worked as a Sports Director at KCII Radio, where they planned and executed sports coverage and collaborated with the programming manager. Jason then joined Sports Illustrated as an Associate Producer, selecting newsworthy sports stories and editing content for SI.COM. From 2004 to 2012, Jason served as a Multimedia Producer for Turner Sports Digital, producing NASCAR shows and implementing a QVC-style show. Jason also worked as a Video Editor at CNN.COM, editing news and sports videos and writing headlines and descriptions. From 2013 to present, they held the role of Senior Digital Operations Manager at UPtv, managing content and website operations, as well as building UPliftSomeone.com and Press. Jason also worked as a Digital Channel Manager at UPtv, managing the "My UPtv Movies" app project and working directly with the creative services team. Additionally, Jason worked as a Field Producer (Freelance) at SportsNet New York, shooting footage and delivering videos for social media and live shows. Jason also served as an Associate Producer/Editor (Freelance) at Turner Broadcasting System, editing classic NBA games and gathering b-roll for MLB Postseason on TBS.

Jason Schoellen attended Iowa State University from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Broadcast Journalism / Electronic Media Studies. Additionally, they obtained another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Broadcast Journalism during the same period.
