Upward Amsterdam is a freelance consultancy focused on human-centered People & HR processes with a simple, powerful philosophy: consistent small positive actions ultimately lead to outsized results.

Inspired in 2017 by the idea of the “positive upward spiral”, Upward Amsterdam believes that positivity sparks more positivity, unlocking optimism, curiosity, and momentum. Just as one joyful moment can amplify our mood and fuel fresh ideas, a small shift in how you manage people can kickstart lasting improvements in engagement, performance, and culture

With nearly 20 years of business experience—from startups and tech scales to corporates and foundations, and wearing hats as founder, manager, and employee—I bring a full-spectrum perspective. I partner with purpose-driven leaders to design and implement the right structure and HR frameworks that enable sustainable growth.

What I offer:
* Interim or project-based People & HR leadership
* Tools to attract and onboard talent effectively
* Support to build healthy, high-performing teams
* Programs to develop culture, feedback habits, and leadership
* Clear, scalable HR operations: contracts, payroll, compliance
* People insights and team scans to fuel better decisions

A core belief from which I work is ‘people are the heart of any organization’. By focusing on human connection, kindness, and small wins, you create a ripple effect—an upward spiral—where engaged teams produce better outcomes, and businesses thrive as a result.
