Matt W. is a seasoned design leader with extensive experience in product design, particularly in the talent marketplace and payments sectors at Upwork since May 2015, where current roles include Sr Director of Product Design overseeing ten teams. Matt has a strong background in directing design strategies, managing teams, and enhancing workflows across various business units, including core product and acquisition teams. With significant contributions to project strategy and design leadership, achievements include launching Upwork’s first growth product team and creatively leading high-impact brand campaigns. Prior to upwork, Matt held design roles at Elance-oDesk and various freelance opportunities while also performing as a circus artist.
