Susan Tran

Susan Tran is an accomplished legal professional with significant experience in operations and regulatory counsel. Starting a career at Wells Fargo as an Operations Supervisor from March 2006 to July 2009, Susan later held various positions including Associate at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, focusing on government investigations, and Litigation Associate at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, where the practice involved SEC, FINRA, and FCC investigations as well as commercial dispute litigation. Susan has also worked as an Associate at Arent Fox, specializing in consumer finance and compliance matters. Currently, Susan serves as the Director, Senior Payments and Regulatory Counsel at Upwork since January 2023, after several leadership roles including UBC Lead for Asian Professionals for Excellence. Educationally, Susan graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from California State University-Los Angeles and earned a J.D. cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
