Urban Centre Mumbai, conceptualised as a collective space, presents a node for dialogue, for ideating, for deliberation, to carry out research and to communicate on urban planning, urban design, urban conservation and sustainable urban development in the city between communities, stakeholders and various agencies.

It facilitates and promotes a platform to encourage public, semi-public and private discussions and discourses on transformative urban projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. It is a space to inform, engage, interact and support communities, social groups, citizens’ committees, students, professionals, business people, individuals, governmental agencies and organisations in development planning.

Urban Centre Mumbai promotes community-based outreach planning through a non-discriminatory, not for profit space situated in a physically central location which is easily accessible.
