Peshcom is an urban initiative. We are for the development of a pedestrian environment, bicycle infrastructure, and public transport in Bishkek. We want Bishkek to become an inclusive city that takes into account the needs of all people without exception. We want the capital to have more convenient, accessible, and safe public spaces. We want to live in an environmentally friendly and socially just city.

A good city should be pedestrian-oriented. And pedestrian paths should be convenient and safe for everyone - not only for healthy and strong people, but also for people with limited mobility - the elderly, parents with strollers, people with disabilities, as well as children and cyclists.

Improvement of pedestrian zones encourages walking, and this has a positive effect on the health of citizens and the environment. Planning streets with a priority on pedestrians improves road safety. Walking is economically beneficial - you do not need to pay for gasoline and get a driver's license. Pedestrian cities are attractive and inspiring, they attract tourists and investment.

We are all pedestrians – there are no people who travel exclusively by car, bus or bicycle. Every day, we at least leave our homes and walk to the bus stop or car. By making streets for pedestrians, we make streets for everyone.

The city should be convenient for people, so we want Bishkek to have safe, comfortable and pleasant ways to travel for everyone.
