Urban Sandbox is a wellbeing-centered resource platform that focuses on prevention and early care. We are dedicated to closing access gaps, streamlining care, and creating direct connections for families to receive timely, individualized mental wellness support, with the goal of achieving 1:1, on-demand care for every student and family, regardless of socioeconomic background. Urban Sandbox is built on a simple truth: mental well-being is the foundation of a student’s motivation, engagement, and ability to learn.

Urban Sandbox focuses on children’s preventive mental well-being in two key ways. First, we encourage creative expression—because when children are given safe ways to create, they build confidence, develop resilience, and learn to process their emotions. Second, we connect families directly to trusted mental wellness resources, ensuring support is accessible early, before challenges escalate.

Today, school psychologists are responsible for hundreds of students, making individualized care difficult. Urban Sandbox helps close this gap by connecting families, schools, and care providers in one streamlined system. By collaborating with school psychologists and graduate trainees, we expand capacity and move closer to a true 1:1 support model—where every child can be seen, understood, and supported.

As the only platform to seamlessly integrate mental health support with creative expression, Urban Sandbox combines play, psychology, and digital innovation into a holistic, privacy-first system. This empowers families and schools with the tools needed for children to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
