Ryan LaBarre has a strong background in web development, with experience in various roles and industries. Ryan started their career with Portland Public Schools, where they worked as a Student Website Assistant, rebuilding the district's website and implementing the frontend using PHP, MySQL, and Apache on Linux.

Ryan then joined Associated Students, Inc. as a Web Application Developer, where they rebuilt and managed the Cal Poly student union's website while attending school full-time. Ryan also developed interactive and dynamic content, including a classifieds system, using PHP and MySQL.

After that, Ryan joined Fuzz Artists, Inc. as a Web Application Magician, where they worked on a revolution in the music industry, rebuilding the whole system from scratch.

Ryan then joined Discovery Digital Networks, first as a Director of Engineering and later as a Director of Technology. Ryan led the development of their LAMP-based framework, integrating various functionalities through a JSON-based API. Ryan expanded the digital video programming and capabilities of their platform.

In 2014, Ryan joined UrbanSitter as a Software Engineer. Ryan built and maintained their REST API, optimized their web application and backend, and improved SQL table structure and queries. Ryan also worked on release automation and added in-memory caching.

Throughout their career, Ryan has worked with a variety of companies, creating online applications for medium-to-large businesses using open source technologies and their own proprietary frameworks. Ryan has a passion for working with cutting-edge technologies and delivering high-quality online services.

Ryan LaBarre attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2000 to 2005, where they studied Computer Science with a focus on Technical Communication.
