Laura Thomas-Byrd is an experienced Operations Research Analyst currently employed at the Joint Staff since August 2011. In addition, Laura has served as an Engineer at US Joint Forces Command since November 2009, leading government projects and developing IT solutions for the Joint Systems Integration Center’s Advanced Systems Analysis directorate. Previously, Laura worked as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, specializing in modeling, simulation, and operations research, and contributed to the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency as an Operations Research Systems Analyst. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Modeling and Simulation from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Christopher Newport University.
