Andrew Hoffman

Andrew Hoffman served in the US Navy from May 1999 to December 2024, ultimately achieving the rank of Captain. As Major Project Manager for Atalanta Integrated Combat Systems (IWS 80), Hoffman managed a $1 billion annual combat systems acquisition and procurement, employing operations research and system engineering methodologies. Previous roles included Commanding Officer and Chief Engineer across various divisions, where leadership involved overseeing operations and executing mission requirements for the Navy's Surface Fleets. Hoffman also held the position of Principal Assistant Program Manager at PEO IWS, focusing on the AEGIS Combat System for surface combat ships. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Applied Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School.
