Ben Wainwright

Ben Wainwright is currently the Executive Officer at NAVFAC Southwest, having begun this role in 2025. They previously held various leadership positions within the US Navy, including Commanding Officer of Officer in Charge of Construction at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Commanding Officer at Underwater Construction Team ONE. Ben also served as the Public Works Officer at NSA Hampton Roads and held the position of Public Works Director at Norfolk Naval Shipyard from 2017 to 2019. They earned an MBA in Finance and Business Planning from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business, along with a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering. Ben's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Toledo.
