Burnes Brown is the Prospective Commanding Officer of the USS South Dakota, currently serving in the US Navy. Previously, they held positions such as Engineer at COMSUBRON ONE and Submarine Watch Officer for CTF-69. Burnes has extensive experience as a Commanding Officer and served as a Special Assistant at Naval Reactors, as well as in various junior officer roles. They earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
