Daniel McNab

Daniel McNab is a Captain in the U.S. Navy with extensive experience in submarine operations. Previously, they served as Commanding Officer of the USS ILLINOIS (SSN-786) from 2020 to 2023, successfully completing multiple deployments in the Western Pacific and Arctic regions. They held the position of Director of Special Operations at COMSUBPAC from 2018 to 2020, where they coordinated special operations across the Indo-Pacific. Daniel studied at the Naval Postgraduate School, earning a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Undersea Warfare, and has been involved in various leadership roles throughout their career. Currently, they are the Deputy MOC Director and Deputy for Special Operations for Commander, Submarine Group SEVEN.
