Dave Hecht

Dave Hecht, APR, is an accredited public relations professional with a wealth of experience in communications, boasting a 15-year background as an Emmy and Associated Press award-winning broadcast journalist and two decades of active duty in the U.S. Navy’s Public Affairs community. Currently serving as the Public Affairs Officer to the Chief of Naval Operations, Hecht leads strategic communication efforts and advises on public perception and messaging. Previously, as the Director of Public Affairs and Outreach for the United States Fleet Forces Command, Hecht oversaw media operations and community relations for over 100,000 military and civilian personnel. Educated at several institutions including San Diego State University and Arizona State University, Hecht continues to enhance skills in public affairs and media relations through the Department of Defense Information School.
