David Hogsten

David Hogsten is currently the Head of the Training and Readiness Department at the US Navy, overseeing professional training and career development for a command of 1,600 personnel. Previously, they served in various leadership roles, including as an Amphibious Doctrine and Tactics Officer at the Surface Warfare Development Group and Department Head aboard USS Cleveland. Hogsten has extensive experience in training and readiness, having managed operations for numerous amphibious ships and coordinated complex military exercises. They hold several advanced degrees, including a Master’s in National Security and Strategic Affairs from the Naval War College.
