Naval Aviator

Dillon Cooley is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as an MH-60S Instructor Pilot at Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Pacific since February 2024. Previously, Dillon held positions as Assistant Operations Officer, Detachment Assistant Officer in Charge, and MH-60S Pilot at HSC-21 from May 2021 to February 2024, gaining extensive qualifications including Helicopter Aircraft Commander and Functional Check Pilot, and participating in deployments aboard USS Essex and USS Charleston. Dillon’s Navy experience includes roles as a Naval Aviator and Student Naval Aviator, with qualifications in Maritime ISR and Airborne Mine Countermeasures, and training in various squadrons. Dillon Cooley is furthering education with a Master of Science in Air and Space: Operations and Tactics at Staffordshire University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
