James Cullen is the Assistant Director for General/Flag Officer Matters at the United States Department of Defense. Previously, they held various leadership roles in the US Navy, including Deputy Special Assistant for Inclusion and Diversity and Director of Enlisted Recruiting for the Navy Recruiting Region East, where they oversaw the enlistment of over 14,000 new sailors annually. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School.
