Jay Dawson

Jay Dawson is an experienced professional in the field of nuclear power and engineering, currently serving as an Engineering Duty Officer in the US Navy since November 2023, where training focuses on managing the lifecycle of submarines and related systems. Prior experience includes roles as a Student Nuclear Reactor Operator at NPTU Charleston, a Nuclear Reactor Officer Student at Nuclear Power School, and a Submarine Officer Student at Naval Submarine School, where key competencies in naval nuclear reactor operations and submarine tactics were developed. Jay also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic and as a Vehicle Engineer at Northrop Grumman, demonstrating strong analytical and engineering skills in various technical environments. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed coursework in Accounting and Finance at South Puget Sound Community College.
