Jesse Black

Jesse Black is currently the Commanding Officer at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, having previously served as Executive Officer at the same institution. With a career in the U.S. Navy that began in 1990, Jesse holds qualifications as both an Engineering Duty Officer and a Surface Warfare Officer. They have held various significant positions, including Special Projects Officer for the Gerald R. Ford Class Carrier Program Office and Federal Senior Sustainability Officer for Energy at The White House. Jesse earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
