Mark Schmitt

Mark Schmitt has extensive experience in the U.S. Navy with a focus on nuclear operations and leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Nuclear Field "A" School, Mark oversees the academic and military performance of 170 supervisors and 3,200 students annually. Previous roles include Production Management Assistant at NAVIMFAC PACNORWEST, where responsibilities encompassed managing a 1,000-person workforce and a $38M budget for submarine maintenance and repairs, and roles at the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Field A School and various submarine facilities that involved significant oversight of personnel and operational efficiency. Mark's career began as an Electricians Mate on USS JAMES MONROE, progressing through key positions, including Quality Assurance Officer for the Submarine Force US Atlantic Fleet, demonstrating a strong background in nuclear production and quality assurance across multiple submarine classes.
