Matthew DeGree

Matthew DeGree is a retired naval officer with a distinguished career as an F/A-18 pilot, skilled instructor, and committed leader. Currently serving as Requirements Director at Carrier Strike Group Fifteen in Coronado, CA, they oversee the development of fleet training requirements and have secured significant budget allocations for Navy programs. Previously, in roles such as Division Head of Exercise Planning, they enhanced training efficiency and effectiveness, while also serving as a college professor at the United States Naval Academy, where they excelled in teaching and mentoring students. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Their leadership has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards, including the George H.W. Bush Award.
