Nathan Schoen is a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps and serves as a General Surgeon with the Fleet Surgical Team at NMCSD. They completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine from 2015 to 2019. Prior to their current role, Nathan gained extensive experience as a Resident Physician (2019-2024) and held various positions in research and tutoring, including a role as a Research Assistant in cognitive neuroscience. Their educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and additional studies in organic chemistry and physics.
