Richard Small

Richard Small is an Information Systems Security Manager at Naval Network Warfare Command, leveraging over 19 years of IT and cybersecurity experience to enhance fleet readiness and safeguard critical systems. Previously, Richard served in various roles within the U.S. Navy, including Computer Network Analyst, Information Systems Watch Officer, and Security Operations Center Analyst, effectively managing network infrastructure and directing cybersecurity operations. Richard is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Policy Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus and is targeting CISSP certification to further strengthen expertise in cybersecurity. With a strong focus on mentorship and compliance with DoD standards, Richard plays a vital role in the Navy's cyber defense initiatives.
