Ryan Kaufman

Ryan Kaufman is a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins SAIS, where they are pursuing a degree in International Affairs with a focus on security, strategy, and statecraft. A respected naval intelligence professional and Information Warfare Officer, they have significant experience leading diverse teams and articulating complex requirements. They served as Aviation Intelligence Officer at VAQ-135, where they were deployed to Japan and Guam, and held positions as Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence at CNFK and Branch Chief at U.S. Strategic Command. Since 2022, they have been serving as Chief of Naval Operations - Intelligence Plot. Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Homeland Security from American Public University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida.
