Sam Cox

Sam Cox is the Director of the Naval History and Heritage Command at the U.S. Navy, where they have served for over ten years, overseeing a comprehensive history program that includes multiple museums, archives, and collections. With over 30 years of experience in military intelligence and leadership, Sam has held significant roles during various operations, including Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Educated at the United States Naval Academy and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, they have made substantial contributions to improving naval intelligence and operational strategy throughout their career. In 2018, they were recognized as an "Honorary Survivor" by the survivors of the USS Indianapolis, a testament to their dedication and service.
