Sam Morrison is a Naval Officer currently serving as the Prospective Executive Officer for CVN-79, set to lead operations from 2023 to 2025. Previously, they held various leadership roles within the US Navy, including Commanding and Executive Officer for Strike Fighter Squadron 131 and Tactics Branch Head at Air Test and Evaluation Squadron NINE. Sam has demonstrated expertise in military tactics and training, having also been a National Exercise Linkage Officer for NATO. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Systems Analysis with Distinction from the Naval Postgraduate School. Most recently, they completed an Advanced Nuclear Power Course at Nuclear Power School.
