Tom Jones

Tom Jones is currently a Science Advisor to the Commander of Naval Air Forces at the Office of Naval Research Global, a position held since 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Advanced Research Branch Head and Mission Systems Branch Head at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - Pacific from 2015 to 2022. With a distinguished career in the US Navy from 1981 to 2003, Tom was an aviator and held command positions, including serving as a Naval Special Warfare Maritime & Rotary-Wing Programs Officer. Tom earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of New Mexico.
