Tim Richmond has over 20 years of work experience in telecommunications and IT infrastructure. Tim began their career in 1999 at Business Telecom Inc., where they worked as a field technician before being promoted to Operations Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the cabling and wiring of the Central Office. After leaving Business Telecom Inc., Tim joined tw telecom as an Operations Manager in 2005. Here, they managed the day-to-day Central Office Operations and supervised technicians. Tim also oversaw new site build-outs and worked with vendors to implement maintenance and installation contracts. Tim's experience at tw telecom involved coordinating the installation and turn-up of various services, from Integrated T1 to DWDM 10 G private rings. Tim was the first-level escalation contact for customer issues and maintained correspondence with customers' vendors and local carriers to resolve service-related issues. Tim left tw telecom in 2012 and became the Owner Operator of The Groutsmith for two years. In 2015, they joined AT&T as a Field Technician, where they installed and maintained data/media services for business and home. Tim's responsibilities included troubleshooting and repairing copper and fiber optic communications. Currently, they are working at USAN, Inc. as a Sr. Node Ops Manager. In this role, Tim is responsible for managing the current Telecom/IT infrastructure, including the installation and maintenance of servers, Windows updates, firmware updates, cabling and testing. Tim also has knowledge and experience in telecommunications installations, SS7 implementation, and Cisco and CIENA router installation, turn-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Tim Richmond enrolled in the US Army from 1990 to 1994. During their time in the army, they pursued a degree in Telecommunications Technology/Technician, earning certifications. After completing their service, Tim obtained additional certifications. In September 1996, they received a certification in OA&M DSC DEX 600ES from Alcatel-Lucent. Furthermore, Tim pursued a certification in DMS 500 Operations and Maintenance from Nortel Networks, although the specific month and year of attainment are unknown.
