Chris Sharrock serves as the Vice President of UN Affairs and International Organisations at Microsoft, where they lead the company’s engagement with the United Nations and other international bodies. They previously held roles such as the UK’s Permanent Representative to the OECD and Chief Economist at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. They have extensive experience in economics and policy, having contributed to HM Treasury in various capacities, including Deputy Director of Debt and Reserves Management. Chris began their career teaching English literature in UK schools and holds a BA in English Language and Literature from The University of Manchester and an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
