Amad Ali

Co-Founder & CTO at Usermaven

Amad Ali has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in various companies. Their most recent role was as an Architect - Data Platform at Sinch, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Architect at Sinch from June 2022 to March 2023. Amad also co-founded Usermaven in 2021 and served as the Co-Founder & CTO.

Before joining Sinch and Usermaven, Amad worked at Canonical, where they held several roles. Amad started as a Cloud Consultant at Ericsson in June 2015 and then transitioned to work as a Cloud Reliability Engineer at Tele2 from December 2016 to September 2017. Later, they took on the position of Technical Lead from October 2017 to November 2021. Additionally, Amad had an interim role as an Enterprise Support Manager at Canonical from November 2021 to June 2022.

Prior to joining Canonical, Amad worked at Symsoft from 2010 to 2015, first as a Support Engineer from June to December 2010, and then as a System Engineer from January 2011 to June 2015. Amad began their career at Mobilink as an IN/VAS Level-2 Support Engineer from March to September 2009, and then briefly worked as a BSS Operation Officer at Telenor from March to August 2008.

Amad Ali completed their MSc degree in Computer Networks from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a BE degree in Computer Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in the years 2004-2008. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications including Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) from The Linux Foundation in 2019, OCM100 - Openstack certification - professional level from Mirantis in 2018, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2018, CCNA Exploration 4.0 from Cisco (year and month not specified), IPv6 Technical from IP-Solutions AB (year and month not specified), and VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage - VSICM 5.5 from Global Knowledge Training (year and month not specified).
