Cecilia Hinga

Cecilia Hinga is a community advocate at Ushahidi, a non-profit technology company that specializes in developing free and open source software for information collection, visualization, and interactive mapping. Cecilia previously worked as an IT support intern at Mediamax Network Limited and as an IT technician assistant at Kenya Meat Commission. Cecilia has experience in local area network implementation and support, help desk management, troubleshooting and resolving user problems, software and hardware maintenance, and data entry. Cecilia is passionate about using technology to empower marginalized communities and make positive change in the world.

Cecilia Hinga has a Bachelor's degree in Business and Information Technology from Mount Kenya University. Cecilia also has a Diploma in Information Technology from Thika Technical Training Institute. In addition, they have a Certificate in Computer Operations from KENYA CHRISTIAN INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INSTITUTE.
