Eric Kerstman

Eric Kerstman has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Eric started their career as an Aerospace Medicine Physician/Flight Surgeon at UTMB/KBR/NASA in 2007. Eric concurrently worked as a Flight Surgeon at NASA during the same period. In 2018, Eric joined UT Health Science Center at Houston as an Assistant Professor. Eric later became a Medical Director at UnitedHealth Group in October 2018, where they served until December 2019. Currently, Eric holds the position of Medical Director at USI Insurance Services, starting in September 2020. Eric also holds the role of Aerospace Medicine Physician at UTMB since July 2007, and continues to hold this position.

Eric Kerstman has a Master's degree in Public Health from The University of Texas Medical Branch, which they obtained from 2005 to 2006. Eric also has a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, which they earned from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College, attending from 1981 to 1985. In addition to their degrees, Eric Kerstman has obtained certifications in Aerospace Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine in 2008, Pain Medicine from ABPMR in 2003, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1996.
