Greg Agoston

Greg Agoston is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields, currently serving as the Director of Reference Materials Acquisition at the US Pharmacopeia since October 2009, overseeing a team of procurement specialists and the Reference Material Acquisition program. Prior to this role, Greg held positions as Senior Manager and Reference Materials Acquisition Manager within the same organization. Earlier experience includes working as a Scientific Review Consultant at the United States Pharmacopeia Verification Program, where Greg reviewed documentation for active pharmaceutical ingredients and dietary supplements, as well as serving as a Senior Research Scientist at EntreMed, Inc., where Greg managed synthetic campaigns and contributed to the discovery of an oncology drug candidate. Greg’s research foundation includes an Intramural Research Training Associate Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health-NIDA, focusing on the development of novel dopamine uptake inhibitors. Greg holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo and a B.S. in Chemistry from Canisius University.
