Richard Parrish

Member, Council Of Experts (healthcare Information And Technology (hi&t) at U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention

Richard Parrish, DPh, PhD, FCCP, BCPS, currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Alice L. Walton School of Medicine and has extensive experience in pharmacy and healthcare. Since February 2018, Richard has been a member of the Council of Experts for US Pharmacopeia and co-chairs the Expert Panel on the Exchange of Compounded Drug Preparation Information. As the Chairperson of the Pharmacy Systems Interoperability Work Group since January 2022, Richard also holds roles as a strategic advisor/investor at Fruit Street and a consultant for Perfecting Peds. Richard was a Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine from August 2020 to July 2023 and has previously worked as Director & Chief Pharmacist at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Richard earned a PhD in Social, Administrative, and Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota and holds an MSc in Pharmacy Care Systems from Auburn University as well as a BSPharm from The Ohio State University.
